I met Rachel the day that we registered for our Masters course. I was early and sitting in a small room with chairs lined up against the wall. The room and the chairs were beginning to fill up and I saw this girl with tight ringlets pass me and smile. She walked the length of the room and then came back to me and asked if she could sit down. Within an hour of that meeting we were drinking tea (coffee for me) and she was telling me that we had to be friends as we both have curly hair. Apparently I was the only other person in the room with curly hair so she knew instantly we would get on! This is also the reason why she brought curly wurlys to class every day and why she gave me a curly wurly on my birthday for years after this! A wonderfully beautiful person, inside and out who appreciated the little things and made connections with everyone she met. Much loved and will be greatly missed! xxxxxx
